“Make It Simple – No Mosquitoes, No Dengue” to Prevent Dengue.
Geneva: On Monday, 18 May 2026, His Excellency Dr. Lo Veasnakiry, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, and His Excellency Prof. Sok Chour, Advisor to the Ministry of Health and Deputy Director‑General for Health, delivered interventions at the side event of the 79th World Health Assembly on the GX Foundation’s launch of the campaign “Make It Simple – No Mosquitoes, No Dengue”. Their Excellencies highlighted the country’s position and commitment in collaborating with national and international partners to promote and implement the “Make It Simple” measures aimed at building sustainable mosquito‑free and dengue‑free communities.
This side event was organized to support global efforts to curb the spread of dengue, a disease transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. The GX Foundation officially announced a community‑based campaign under the theme “Make It Simple – No Mosquitoes, No Dengue.” The campaign emphasizes simple, practical, and highly effective approaches, prioritizing the elimination of mosquito‑breeding sites, the use of protective spraying, and strong community participation in maintaining clean, dry environments free of stagnant water.
The side event was attended by representatives of Member States, Permanent Missions, and numerous international partner organizations.
