Pillars, Infrastructure, Public Health and Laboratories Launching Meeting, Learning for Preparedness on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Geneva, Switzerland: Tuesday, May 19, 2026, H.E. Prof. Lem Tara, Secretary of the Ministry of Health of Cambodia, attended the launching of the Pillars, Infrastructure, Public Health and Laboratory Research for Preparation on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The theme focuses on: "Exchanging learning and experience between developing countries to build the public health foundation necessary for artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to improve health outcomes for all people."
The first launch of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Pillar Launch Meeting brought together the Ministries of Health and Information Technology, regional public health organizations and partners from developing countries across the globe to officially launch a country-by-country document, showcase real-world experiences, and launch as a continuing platform for transforming inter-country learning on AI. This meeting is co-organized by: Vital Strategies, Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Africa CDC, and WHO Regional Office for Africa. 30 people from different countries participated.
H.E. Prof. Lem Tara gave sharing on progress and strategic plan key priorities of the Ministry of Health of the Government of Cambodia. H.E. also affirmed Cambodia's support for the project and welcomed all sponsorship from Vital Strategies and all development partners to advance the national public health system.
